Kingston
Foods is working with Continental Fine Foods in Manchester to slice and
pack a range of high quality cooked and roasted meats into consumer
pre-pack and portion controlled catering formats. Continental
Fine Foods opened their brand new slicing facility in January 2000 and are already
packing both our conventional and organic meats, amended where necessary
to suit the needs of high speed slicing. The
Naturally Organic brand launched on 15 May 2000, with Gammon Ham,
Honeyroast Ham and a Turkey Breast produced by Volys Star in Belgium.
The
consumer reaction has been fantastic with demand much higher than
predicted. Expect exciting
new additions to the range in the next few months. All products will also be available in bespoke catering packs, between 250grams to 1000 grams per pack, from October 2000, subject to confirmation. Shortly we expect to offer the facility to dice, julienne and strip organic meat products for use in the manufacture of pizzas, ready meals and prepared salads too. Kingston
Foods and Continental Fine Foods will then be working together to bring our non-organic range
into pre-pack format, as we believe that products of this quality are not
currently available in this sector. |
